The Idaho Veterans Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Monthly Veteran Career Connection Coffee on the second Thursday of every month. This event is designed to bring together veterans, their families, and employers from across the Treasure Valley for an hour of networking, job exploration, and coffee.

No RSVP is required, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to connect and share stories.

September Swing Hangar Dance at Warhawk Air Museum

Get ready for a night of vintage fun at the September Swing Hangar Dance on September 28th from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM at the Warhawk Air Museum. This lively event features swing dancing to live music by The Kings of Swing in a World War II airplane hangar. Don’t know how to dance? No problem—a lesson will get you moving!

Prizes will be awarded for best-dressed and best dancers, with 1940s-inspired attire strongly encouraged. Food trucks, a no-host bar, and WWII memorabilia round out this one-of-a-kind event.

2024 Yurt Trails Hennessey: Veterans Trail Project Sept 28-29

On September 28-29, join the Idaho Trails Association and the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation for a veterans-focused trail maintenance project in the Idaho City Yurt System. Volunteers will clear logs, brush trails, and repair trail tread while enjoying the beauty of the Boise National Forest. After a day of rewarding work, participants will enjoy an evening of glamping at the Hennessey Yurt.

This event offers an opportunity for veterans to give back to public lands while connecting with others who share a love for the outdoors.
