Celebrate Military Appreciation Day and Hero’s Birthday at Idaho State University!
Join us for a special event on Tuesday, September 3rd, as Idaho State University honors our military-connected students and celebrates the birthday of Hero, the Veteran Services Emotional Support Dog (VSESD). This day is dedicated to recognizing the sacrifices of our veterans and the invaluable role Hero plays in supporting our veteran community.

What to Expect:
- Hero’s Birthday Celebration: Come out to celebrate Hero, the beloved VSESD, who provides comfort and support to our veteran students. There will be food, fun, and plenty of opportunities to show Hero just how much he’s appreciated.
- Military Appreciation Day: This event is not only about celebrating Hero but also about honoring our military-connected students. It’s a day to recognize the dedication and service of those who have served our country and are now pursuing their education at ISU.
- Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs): We’re setting up dedicated tables for VSOs and veteran-focused groups to present their services to ISU students and staff. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the resources available to our veteran community and how you can get involved.
