10100 N. Horseshoe Bend Rd, Boise, ID 83714

Purpose of the Group Honors Ceremony:

This annual event is held to recognize and honor veterans who, for various reasons, have not yet received military funeral honors. The Military Final Honors provided during this ceremony are a gesture of gratitude for the veterans’ service to our country, ensuring that all deserving veterans are properly acknowledged, even if they have gone without these honors previously.

Why You Should Attend:

  • Pay Tribute: This is an opportunity to honor and remember the service and sacrifices made by veterans. It’s a way for the community to come together and show their respect for those who have served.
  • Support the Families: Often, veterans’ families are present, and your attendance is a way to show support and solidarity as they commemorate their loved ones.
  • Recognize Veterans Without Funeral Honors: Many veterans go without receiving their Military Final Honors for reasons beyond their control. This ceremony ensures that no veteran is forgotten.

Military Final Honors:

The Military Final Honors include a formal ceremony recognizing the service of veterans, often with a bugler playing Taps, and a flag-folding ceremony to present to the families. These honors symbolize the nation’s deep respect for the brave men and women who have defended our freedoms.

Please join us on November 6th at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery to pay your respects and participate in a solemn tribute to our veterans. Let’s come together as a community to honor and remember their service.
