Steak enthusiasts and community supporters, take note! Pocatello’s American Legion Post #4 is hosting a not-to-be-missed Steak Fry event. Every second Friday of the month from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, you have the opportunity to indulge in a delectable hand-cut Rib Eye Steak, cooked to perfection over a charcoal fire. Complement your steak with a hearty baked potato, an assortment of vegetables, savory baked beans, and finish with the famous Apple Crisp topped with ice cream. This mouthwatering meal, priced at just $18 or $10 for seniors, not only promises a feast for your taste buds but also supports the invaluable programs and plans of the American Legion. Join the feast at 300 N Johnson Ave, Pocatello, and be a part of a tradition that celebrates good food for a great cause.

Veterans in the community have something special to look forward to each month. The cherished Veterans Luncheon by Happy Day Restaurants has made a comeback. As of January 2024, these luncheons take place on the second Tuesday of every month, offering a complimentary meal to our esteemed veterans from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s not just about the free meal; it’s a gesture of appreciation and an opportunity for veterans to come together, share stories, and enjoy a variety of tasty dishes from a select menu. Each participating restaurant in the Happy Day family – from Zany Graze to Tomato Bros and beyond – contributes something unique to the table. • Tomato Bros: Indulge in an assortment of choices with the returning Lunch Buffet.
• Mystic Café: Enjoy the coastal favorite – a succulent Lobster Roll served with fries.
• Main Street Grill: Treat yourself to a New York Steak Sandwich featuring locally sourced beef from Big Canyon Beef.
• Southway Pizzeria & Deli: Get $15 off your order and delight in Italian-American classics.
• Taco Time (Lewiston, Clarkston, Moscow): Relish a free combo meal with small Mexi-Fries and a drink.

The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) of Idaho is proud to share an exciting opportunity for our veteran community. WAVES Inc. is hosting its Veteran Education Event at Pomerelle Mountain this March, and it promises to be an exhilarating adventure for veterans who love the snow or are looking to learn how to ski or snowboard!

Embracing the Mountain, Whatever Your Ability

On March 22nd and 23rd, 2024, all veterans, regardless of their abilities, are invited to join in on the fun at Pomerelle Mountain. WAVES Inc. has made it clear that their event is open to veterans with diverse skills, and they have certified instructors ready to provide adaptive education for a personalized experience.

• Venue: Pomerelle Mountain
• Schedule: Lessons start at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM each day
• Fee: $34, which includes a lift ticket, lesson, and lunch
