(DAV) DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS IDAHO'S MISSION

Our Mission:

The mission of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) of Idaho focuses on empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. This mission is achieved through several key initiatives:

  1. Ensuring Access to Benefits: The DAV of Idaho provides free, professional assistance to veterans and their families in obtaining benefits and services earned through military service. This includes working with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other government agencies.
  2. Outreach Programs: The organization conducts outreach to inform the American public, and specifically disabled veterans and their families, about its services.
  3. Advocacy: The DAV of Idaho represents the interests of disabled veterans, their families, their widowed spouses, and orphans before Congress, the White House, and the Judicial Branch, as well as at state and local government levels.
  4. Community Engagement: Extending their mission of hope, the DAV of Idaho is actively involved in communities where veterans and their families reside, operating through state-level Departments and local Chapters.
  5. Volunteer Programs: The organization encourages disabled veterans to express their compassion for fellow veterans through various volunteer programs.
